I lost my father on Friday, been a tuff few days. I was raised in a garage, he taught me the value of hard work and how to turn a wrench.  Now he will be in the shop with me forever.  Made this little earn to keep him with me, used the master cylinder for his ashes.

Well it really happened, this is not a joke or the barn find story everyone is always telling!
A brother of mine who is more of a father figure to me than my father, has had this thing sitting in his barn for the last 10+ years, well I have been trying to buy it, borrow it, steal it, just fucking save it for the last 8 years!  A few weeks ago I stop by the old bastards house and we get to talking about "the pan"  he tells me that he has been doing some thinking and that he would like to ride it again...  at this point I just think he is talking out his ass and just trying to piss me off!   Well I start paying attention when he tells me that he put my name on the title and changed his will so that when he passes "the pan" goes to me!!  Told me that if any one deserves it I DO!!  I had to have him repeat himself cause I thought I heard him say that he was giving me "the pan" 
HE REALLY DID!!

After a big hug, a few tears, and thanking him a couple hundred times!  Here it is!!  
Its rough, it needs LOTSA work but it is all pan baby!!  62 matching # I am so happy I could poop! and never have I been so honored in my life!!!

Bought this barneyglide the other day...  96 with 30,000 miles BONE stock and a really gay grape paint job.  within 24 hours it's stripped and ready for paint.. 

getting back at it!! with new toys!!

I have wanted to build this for a long time, finally made the time and got it done.  New weld table with adjustable/removeable vice, 3/8 plate top that is drilled every 6" for lots of jig options, sitting on a 3" X 4" I beam frame, with 2 1/2 box tube legs on heavy duty castors and adjustable legs to level it up..  took about 8 hours and cost me about $150.00

 My old Rockwell lathe pissed me off for the last time!!!  so I sold it, and several other useless tools around the shop and bought this bad boy..  I know its not American made but Chinese people need jobs too...
I did a ton of research before I decided on this..  I had a budget of about $2000.00 and I think I got the most for my money..  I havn't done much with it yet but so far so good...  runs very tight, and I don't have to rebuild it everytime I use it..  I will post more about it later...

My boy Cole turned 3 today and got his first bike!!

take a breather...

So I have been out of the scene for a couple of months now.  Other than some service and bolt on crap for a few friends I haven't been doing anything with bikes.  Weird thing is I sorta like it, and the time off  has reminded me why I started in the first place.   I have been busy with my new baby girl and have only ridden a few miles so far.  I threw some new tires on the Buell and been riding it as is, oil leaks and all, and I don't care!!  It's about riding and getting away for all the stress and bullshit of the daily grind.  I forgot how nice it is to take off and RIDE!!  with no where to go, nothing to do, no one to meet, and just clear your head.   I have my priorities and my family is number 1, and that means my bikes have to wait.  I have spent most of the winter remodeling my house to get ready for the baby.  I realized I just like to build things, and don't have to be bikes.  I truly enjoyed working on the house and making it "my" way.  Turns out that I'm not half bad at being a carpenter.  

So when the stars align, the money tree buds, and when i feel like it, I will finish the bikes.  Everything is out in the shop to finish them, I even have the gaskets to fix the oil leaks on the Buell.  For now I will spend my free time riding, and remind myself what is important...

Complete shovel primary setup, HD inner and outer, both in great shape NEW barnett clutch and billet pressure plate good chain and comp sprocket.  Complete starter assembly everyhting is in GREAT shape.  All this is in MY bike, I want to pay some bills off and buy a little car, and I don't need 5 bikes.  All this is still assembled and in the bike, can here run and ride.
